Ravindra Jadeja, or Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja, is an Indian International Cricketer. Ravindra Jadeja’s nickname ‘Sir’ trended more as a laugh, but the youngster from Saurashtra took all the mock comments and criticism in his march to turn the tables in a spectacular trend. He is an all-rounder who bowls left-arm orthodox spin and bats left-handed. Ravindra displays Saurashtra in first-class cricket. He is known as one of the best fielders in the contemporary decade.

A catastrophic 2009 World T20 made him the figure of fun, especially among the naturally fiery Indian fans who were growling for his blood back home. Jadeja was the vice-captain of the Indian U-19 cricket team that obtained the World Cup in 2008 in Malaysia under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, the former Indian Captain. On February 8, 2009, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. There he scored an unbeaten 60 off 77 balls in that game. Jadeja acquired for $2 million by the Chennai Super Kings at the IPL player’s auction in 2012. He got acquired by Gujarat Lions in the IPL players auction for Rs 9.5 crore in 2016 after Chennai Super Kings were forbidden from the IPL for two seasons. Ravindra Jadeja embellished as the first Indian left-arm spinner to take 150 ODI wickets when he dispersed Sam Billings in Eden Garden at Kolkata on January 22, 2017.

In 2005 Jadeja made his first under-19 emergence for India. His age was only 16. He elected in the Indian squad for the 2006 U/19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. India completed runners-up with Jadeja influencing in the final against Pakistan with a pull of 3 wickets. At the 2008 U/19 cricket World Cup, he was the Vice-Captain of the triumphant Indian team. He played a vital role in the tournament by taking 10 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 13. 

In the 2006-07 Duleep trophy, Jadeja made his first-class debut. He performed for the West Zone in the Duleep trophy and for Saurashtra in Ranji trophy. Jadeja embellished as the eighth player in history and the first Indian player in 2012 to secure three first-class triple centuries in his career, linking Brian Lara, Don Bradman, Wally Hammond, Bill Ponsford, Mike Hussey, Graeme Hick, and WG Grace. Ravindra Jadeja grabbed the national selectors’ attention with his powerful all-round display in the 2008-2009 Ranji trophy by 42 wickets and 739 runs and selected for the ODI series in Sri Lanka. His International debut came in the final match of the series on February 8, 2009, where he secured 60, although India lost the game. In the second T20I of the Australian tour, Jadeja had a number of 1/16 in 3 overs and accomplished two run outs in the Australian innings in February 2012. Jadeja secured his maiden test fifty on July 20, 2014, playing against England. His partnership with Bhuvneshwar Kumar supported India lay England a target of 319. On March 28, 2017, he displayed in all four matches against the visiting Australian side. He made two half-centuries and bagged 25 wickets. By which he receives the Player of the Series as well as the Player of the Match award. On March 5, 2022, in a Test match against Sri Lanka, Jadeja cracked the 35-year-old record of Kapil Dev by securing 175*. Ravindra Jadeja : About His Family People

Jadeja was born on December 6, 1988, in Navagam Ghed city of Jamnagar district in Gujarat to a Gujarati Rajput family. His father, Anirudh, worked as a watchman for a private security agency. His father desired him to become an army officer, but he became interested in cricket. Jadeja’s mother’s name is the late Lata Jadeja, who died in an accident in 2005, and her death put Jadeja almost in trauma and made him almost quit cricket. He has two sisters, one Naina (eldest) and the other Padmini Jadeja.

Jadeja got hitched to Rivaba Solanki on April 17, 2016. Rivaba pursued Mechanical Engineering at Rajkot’s Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science. Jadeja became a father in 2017. He was blessed with a baby girl named Nidhyana Jadeja.
