ENG vs PAK Final: Seven years after untimely exit from 50 over WC 2015 down under, Buttler and Co defeat Pakistan by 5 wickets at MCG to achieve their 2nd T20 title. England left-arm pacer Sam Curran was declared as Player of the Tournament. Following his team’s five-wicket win over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on Sunday. Curran, who recovered from injury earlier this year, was also titled Player of the Match.

In the summit encounter, he took 3 for 12 in four overs. He concludes the tournament with 13 wickets and an impressive economy rate of 6.52 runs per over. England had limited Pakistan to 137 for 8 in 20 overs. Ben Stokes then secured an unbeaten 52 off 49 balls to support England in lifting their 2nd T20 World Cup title. Curran praised Ben Stokes for having him on the team when they needed him.

In ENG Vs PAK Final, England outshines Pakistan in all departments of the match as they won the Twenty20 World Cup at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. They became World champions twice by winning the 50 and 20-over World Cups together. It was as if the rainstorm predicted by the forecasters isolated to witness the England team’s overall performance as Ben Stokes struck his first T20 fifty and Sam Curran, Player of the Tournament, banged the Pakistanis with the ball, leaving the team from the locale clueless. 

After a low total of 137, England achieved the target by losing five wickets. The bowling of Pakistan was off the mark. And expensive lapses from the fielders produced its fall. The reality that Shaheen Afridi injured himself while grabbing a catch proved to be the last nail in the box for the Pakistan side, exhibiting some fighting spirit. 

But it was England’s day.

ENG vs PAK Final: During the beginning phase of their batting, England had difficulty as they lost their first wicket when Shaheen Afridi banged the stumps of Alex Hales. England were 32 for 2 at the end of two overs when Phil Salt succeeded Hales in the pavilion. Salt, who continued an LBW review when he was 6, was separated by Haris Rauf, with his individual score at 10. When their score of England was 32, Jos Buttler’s score was 20 runs off 10 balls. England was 37/2 in 4.2 overs. And 43/2 in 5 overs. Buttler knockdown for 26 in the 5th over, and England were 45/3. At the end of 10 overs, England was 77/3.

A much-required breakthrough for Pakistan came when Harry Brook (20) was removed by Shadab Khan. England’s score was then 85/4. Ben Stokes was still in the crease at that moment with 39 off 38 balls. England lost the wicket of unsparing Moeen Ali when the score was 132. Moeen Ali was discarded by Mohammad Wasim Jr when Moeen had made 19. But by that moment, it was all finished for Pakistan. Ben Stokes lingered an unbeaten 52 off 49 balls as England secured the title.

ENG vs PAK Final: Earlier significant fielding and tight bowling limited Pakistan to securing 137/8 in 20 overs. Wickets knock down at regular interim for Pakistan after England Captain Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to bowl first. As they execute against India, possibly to chase the target. Pakistan’s 100 came in 14.3 overs. They were 100/4 and 119 for four at the end of 16 overs. They were 121/5 in 16.3 overs. And 129/7 at the end of 18.3 overs and 131 for 8 in 19.3 overs. For Pakistan in liable Babar Azam 32, Shan Masood (38) and Shadab Khan 20 kept the scoreboard indicating even as wickets knock down at regular interims. Babar Azam knocked down a weird shot when he scored 32 from 27 balls. The runs mostly secured from one and two instead of massive hits. Rizwan earlier lived a runout in the very first over of Ben Stokes.

For England, Sam Curran took three wickets, and his figures were 4-0-12-3. Adil Rashid took two vital wickets, while Stokes took one and Chris Jordan two. Jos Buttler expressed his feelings about the team, saying, ‘It was an incredible effort from all to win the match. I am speechless.’
