Wayanad Parliamentary Constituency is among the twenty parliamentary constituencies in the state of Kerala in southern India. Rahul Gandhi of the Indian National Congress won the Wayanad parliamentary constituency on the verge of 4,31,770 votes. He defeated P P Suneer of CPI. Rahul Gandhi scored a total number of 7,06,367 votes. Rahul Gandhi is the incumbent Member of Parliament of the Wayanad constituency. Wayanad constituency fell under the area of Kerala. The assembly constituency considered Kalpetta, Wandoor (SC), Thiruvambady, Sulthanbathery (ST), Mananthavady (st), Eranad, and Nilambur.
Wayanad constituency is in Malabar region. This rural general constituency has an approximate Scheduled Caste population of 7.01%. And a Scheduled Tribe population of 9.3%. The approximate literacy level of the Wayanad constituency is 91.37%.

Rahul Gandhi: The Energetic Youth Chairperson and MP of Wayanad
Rahul Gandhi is a Member of the Indian parliament and an Indian politician. He represents the Wayanad constituency of Kerala in the 17th Lok Sabha. He is a member of the Indian National Congress and worked as a President of INC from December 16, 2017, to July 3, 2019. Gandhi is the chairperson of the Indian Youth Congress, which is the National Students Union of India. He is also the trustee of the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
Rahul into General Election
Gandhi declared to enter active politics and successfully contested the general election held in 2004 from Amethi, a seat that his father previously held. He achieved again from the constituency in 2009 and 2014. Gandhi was elected as a Congress Vice President in 2013. Gandhi led the Congress Campaign in the Indian general election of 2014, where the party experienced the worst electoral result in its history by winning 44 seats as compared to 206 seats achieved in 2009 previously.
Gandhi prospered his mother as Congress party leader in 2017 and led the congress into the 2019 Indian general election. The INC achieved 52 seats, failing to get 10% of the seats required to claim the post of opposition leader. To poor performance, he resigned from the party and succeeded Sonia Gandhi as party leader.
Gandhi contested the Indian general election of 2014 from his constituency Amethi. He led the election campaign of INC. Gandhi held the seat of Amethi by defeating his nearest rival, Smriti Irani of the Bhartiya Janata Party, by a reduced margin of 107,000 votes.
In the National Herald Corruption case, the high court of Delhi dismissed the plead of Sonia Gandhi. And five others, including Oscar Fernandes, Suman Dubey, Satyan Pitroda, and Motilal Vora in December 2015, were ordered them to appear in person before the bench on December 9. The Supreme Court of India in 2016 granted an exemption to Gandhi, who was accused in the case.
Gandhi Against Modi
Gandhi raised the slogan “Chowkidar Chor Hai” as a jibe against PM Modi, BJPs Prime Ministerial candidate of the 2019 Indian general election. The slogan was targeted to Modi allegedly favoritism and irregularities in awarding the contracts for the Rafale fighter jet deal. The high court dismissed the case after going through the thorough evidence considered by the Supreme Court of India.
Gandhi contested for two constituencies: Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, and Wayanad, Kerala, in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Gandhi won the Wayanad constituency but, however, lost his existing constituency of Amethi to the former soap opera actress Smriti Irani.
