LQ VS QG: Lahore Qalandars beat Quetta Gladiators by 63 runs in Match No.10 of the Pakistan Super League at National Stadium, Karachi. Lahore Qalandars clinical bowling performance outplayed the Quetta Gladiators. Shaheen Shah Afridi and David Wiese took 3-3 wickets each to destroy the Quetta batting. While chasing the target of 199 runs Quetta Gladiators could only manage 135 runs in 20 overs. Jason Roy has been the top scorer of the Quetta Gladiators side. He made 48 runs from 30 balls with the help of 1 four and 5 sixes. Mohammad Hafeez also made 25 runs off 22 balls. Shaheen Shah Afridi received the Player of the Match Award for his brilliant bowling performance.

LQ VS QG: Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to field first. After being invited to bat first Lahore Qalandars openers gave the best possible start to their team. Mirza Baig and Fakhar Zaman made 50 runs in just 4.5 overs. Lahore Qalandars managed 65 runs inside the batting powerplay of 6 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Quetta Gladiators got the first wicket when Fakhar Zaman fell to Odean Smith and was caught by Quetta skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. Fakhar got out on 22 runs from 14 balls. He hit 3 fours and a six in his short innings. Mirza Baig also scored quick runs for his team and made 31 runs off 15 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Mirza Baig has been dismissed by Mohammad Nawaz and caught by Martin Guptill.

Kamran Ghulam and Shai Hope took the Lahore Qalandars innings forward and added 56 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket. The 56 runs partnership only took 30 balls. Sarfaraz Ahmed stumped Kamran Ghulam on the bowling of Qais Ahmad. He only made 21 runs from 17 balls with the help of 2 fours.

LQ VS QG: Hope, Hussain & Raza took Lahore to the Giant Total

LQ VS QG: The trio of Shai Hope, Talat Hussain, and Sikandar Raza took the Lahore Qalandars innings to the Giant total. Shai Hope made 47 runs from the 35 balls. Shai Hope hit 5 fours and 1 six in his vital inning. Talat Hussian and Sikandar Raza provided a flourish to the innings in the end. Hussian Talat scored 26 runs from 13 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Meanwhile, Sikandar Raza made 32 runs from 16 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 200. They both took Lahore’s total to 198/6 in 20 overs.

Odean Smith and Qais Ahmad took 2-2 wickets each meanwhile, Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Hasnain shared 1-1 wicket with each other for Quetta Gladiators.

LQ VS QG: Quetta Started the chase with Ups and Down

LQ VS QG: Quetta Gladiators started the chase in the worst possible manner. Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed Abdul Banglazai for the Golden Duck in the first over of the innings. Martin Guptill and Jason Roy made a partnership of 47 runs from 36 balls. Though the partnership was slow but gave foundation to the team after the early loss. David Wiese dismissed Martin Guptill to the hands of Mirza Baig. Guptill made 15 runs from 18 balls with 1 four in his innings. He played very slowly with a strike rate of 83.33.

Jason Roy made 48 runs from 30 balls with 1 four and 5 sixes in his innings. He is been bowled by Rashid Khan. Mohammad Hafeez tried to settle down the innings but he also fell to David Weise after scoring 25 off 2 balls.

LQ VS QG: Quetta Gladiators never looked in the Chase

LQ VS QG: Quetta Gladiators never looked in the chase of 199 runs. They lost the wicket at regular intervals which did not allow them to score freely. After the dismissal of Mohammad Hafeez no one is been able to cross the double-figure mark except the skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Odean Smith fell cheaply. They were not able to cross the figure of double digits.

LQ VS QG: Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Odean Smith made 6, 2, and 9 runs respectively. Sarfaraz Ahmed remained not out on 16 runs from 14 balls. He did not get the support of any other batter to go for the chase.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and David Weise got 3-3 wickets each meanwhile Rashid Khan and Sikandar Raza shared 1-1 wicket with each other.

LQ VS QG: Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi received the Player of the Match Award for his brilliant bowling performance in LQ VS QG Contest. He took 3 wickets for just 22 runs from his 4-over quota. He bowled with the economy of 5.50. Shaheen Afridi dismissed Abdul Banglazai, Odean Smith, and Qais Ahmad in LQ VS QG Contest.
