IND-W VS IRE-W: India Women beat Ireland Women by 5 runs through Duckworth Lewis Method in the last group match held at St George’s Park, Gqeberha. Indian Women team qualified for the Semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Indian team is on the 2nd place after the England in the Group 2 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Smriti Mandhana played spectacular innings of 87 runs from 56 balls. She smashed 9 fours and 3 sixes in her innings. Smriti Mandhana is been awarded with the player of the match Award. India posted the target of 156 runs for the Ireland Women team. The rain came into play when they were 2/54 after 8.2 overs. Ireland Women’s were 5 runs short of the Duckworth Lewis Method score.

India Women won the toss and elected to bat first

IND-W VS IRE-W: Indian Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first. Indian openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana scored 42 runs inside the batting powerplay. They both added 62 runs partnership for the 1st wicket in 9.3 overs. Shafali Verma dismissed by Ireland skipper Laura Delany to Hunter. Shafali Verma made 24 runs from 29 balls with the help of 3 fours. She played very slow with the strike rate of 82.75.

IND-W VS IRE-W: Indian Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana added 52 runs partnership for 2nd wicket in 38 balls. Ireland skipper Laura Delany dismissed India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for 13 runs from 20 balls. She was struggling to score runs even to rotate the strike and made runs with the strike rate of 65. On the very next ball Wicket-keeper batter Richa Ghosh lost his wicket Laura Delany. Richa Ghosh scored Golden Duck as she was trying to take increase the run-rate of the team.

IND-W VS IRE-W: Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana added 28 runs partnership from 16 balls for the 4th wicket. Jemimah Rodrigues made 19 runs from 12 balls with the help of 3 fours. Smriti Mandhana made 87 runs from 56 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Deepti Sharma and Smriti Mandhana lost their wickets on the successive deliveries. Ireland pacer Prendergast dismissed to both of them in the 18th over of the inning. Pooja Vastrakar remained not out on 2 runs from 1 ball.

Laura Delany is been the most successful bowler for the Ireland team. She took 3 wickets for 33 runs from her 4 over quota. On the other hand, Orla Prendergast and Arlene Kelly got 2 and 1 wickets respectively.

IND-W VS IRE-W: Indian opener Smriti Mandhana notches her career best T20 International score. She scored 87 runs from 56 balls and hits 9 fours and 3 sixes. She scored the runs with the strike rate of 155.35. Smriti Mandhana passed her previous best T20 International score of 86 runs. She got 4 lifelines in her innings. Smriti Mandhana is been dropped on 23, 29,46 and 70 runs. She took full advantage of these opportunities and took her team to the decent and fighting total.

IND-W VS IRE-W: Rain came effective in the match when Ireland score was 2 for 54 runs in 8.2 overs. The match does not even got a chance to get resume. The pitch conditions was not useable after the rain and outfield was too much wet. Officials decided to take result through Duckworth Lewis Method. Ireland team were short of 5 runs from the expected score after 8.2 overs.

IND-W VS IRE-W: Indian Women team likely to face off Australian Women team in the semi-final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. India is placed on the 2nd position after the England in the Group 2. Meanwhile, Australia is placed on the top position of the Group 1. Australian team won their all the group matches and topped the group with 8 points. It is almost clear that Australia and New Zealand will qualify from Group 1 and England and India will qualify from Group 2.
