INDW VS PAKW: India Women beat Pakistan Women by 7 wickets in an opening encounter of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Match at Newlands, Capetown. Richa Ghosh and Jemimah Rodrigues took the India Women’s team over the line. Jemimah Rodrigues is been awarded Player of the Match. Jemimah Rodrigues made 53 runs off 38 balls with 8 fours and remained not out till the end. Richa Ghosh and Shafali Verma made 31 and 33 runs respectively. India Women will face West Indies Women on 15th Feb 2023 at Newlands, Capetown. India and Pakistan were placed in the same group of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Match.

INDW VS PAKW: Pakistan Women skipper Bismah Maroof won the toss and decided to bat first in the crucial match against India Women. Muneeba Ali and Javeria Khan came to the crease to start the proceedings for Pakistan. They haven’t got a good start and lost Javeria Khan early in the second over of the innings. Deepti Sharma dismissed Javeria Khan for 8 runs to Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof entered the crease and tried to settle the innings with Muneeba Ali. They both took Pakistan to 42 runs in 6 overs of the batting Powerplay. They lost 2 wickets in quick succession as Muneeba Ali and Nida Dar went back to the pavilion. Radha Yadav and Pooja Vastrakar took the wickets respectively.

INDW VS PAKW: Pakistan Women were struggling at one time when they lost their 3 wickets for just 42 runs inside the 7 overs. Bismah Maroof took the responsibility and played throughout the innings. Bismah Maroof made 68 runs from 55 balls with 7 fours and Ayesha Naseem made quick 43 runs off 25 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. They both remained not out and took Pakistan to the respective total of 149/4 in the 20 overs.

Radha Yadav is the only Indian bowler who is been impressive with the ball and took 2 wickets for 21 runs within her 4-over quota.

INDW VS PAKW: Indian Women’s team opener Yastika Bhatia and Shafali Verma started the chase with a bang and made the opening partnership of 38 runs in 5.3 overs. Yastika Bhatia got out to Fatima Sana by Sadia Iqbal. She scored 17 runs off 20 balls with 2 fours. Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues took the charge and made 27 runs partnership of 22 balls for the 2nd wicket. Shafali Verma got out to Sidra Ameen by Nashra Sandhu. She made crucial 33 runs off 25 balls with blistering 4 fours.

INDW VS PAKW: Kaur failed but Rodrigues and Ghosh finish it off

INDW VS PAKW: Indian Women’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur didn’t contribute much and she got out for 16 runs from 12 balls with 2 fours. In the end, Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh took the Indian team over the line. India completed the 150 runs target inside the 19 overs. Rodrigues and Ghosh made a partnership of 58 runs off 33 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues scored 53 runs off 38 balls with 8 fours meanwhile Richa Ghosh made 31 runs off 20 balls with crucial 4 fours.

INDW VS PAKW: Indian superstar Jemimah Rodrigues won the Player of the Match Award for her match-winning knock against the arch-rivals Pakistan. She showed good temperament and resilience throughout the innings. She played brilliantly under pressure and took the Indian Women’s team over the line. Jemimah scored a match-winning 53 runs off 38 balls.

India Women’s team will face off West Indies Women’s team in the next match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Match on 15th Feb 2023 at Newlands, Capetown.
