QG VS PES: Peshawar Zalmi beat Quetta Gladiators by 4 wickets in Match No.9 of the Pakistan Super League at National Stadium, Karachi. Peshawar Zalmi achieves the target of 155 runs with 9 balls to spare. Rovman Powell and Jimmy Neesham took Peshawar Zalmi home with a comprehensive victory. Jimmy Neesham showed a brilliant all-round performance first with the ball and then with the bat. He scored 38 runs from 23 balls and also took 1 wicket. He is been awarded the Player of the Match in the contest of QG VS PES.

QG VS PES: Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bowl first. Quetta Gladiators openers Martin Guptill and Jason Roy gave a very slow start to their team. They both added 28 runs inside the 6-over powerplay. Peshawar Zalmi all-rounder Jimmy Neesham dismissed Martin Guptill to substitute Aamer Jamal. Guptill scored 12 runs from 16 balls with the help of 2 fours.

Soon Jason Roy and Mohammad Nawaz also got dismissed by Peshawar leg spinner Usman Qadir. Usman Qadir took 2 wickets in quick succession and put Quetta Gladiators in trouble. Roy got out on 14 runs from 23 balls with 2 fours in his tough innings. Usman Qadir trapped Mohammad Nawaz in front of the wicket after scoring 2 runs from 5 balls.

QG VS PES: Sarfaraz and Iftikhar showed their class in a tough time

QG VS PES: Quetta Gladiators skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed came down to bat at the No.3 position after the dismissal of Martin Guptill. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Iftikhar Ahmed added 74 runs partnership in 50 balls for the 4th wicket. Sarfaraz made 39 runs from 30 balls with the help of 5 fours. Arshad Iqbal ended the Quetta Gladiators skipper’s innings.

Iftikhar Ahmed and Odean Smith added 43 runs in the last 3 overs of Gladiators innings. Iftikhar made 50 runs from 34 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes. Meanwhile, Odean Smith made 25 runs from 12 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Quetta Gladiators posted the 155 runs target against Peshawar Zalmi.

QG VS PES: Peshawar Zalmi came to the crease to chase the target of 155 runs to gain the 2 crucial points. Babar Azam and Mohammad Harris gave a furious start to the Peshawar Zalmi. They both added 29 runs in 2.1 overs. Harris scored 18 runs from 9 balls with the help of 4 fours. Mohammad Hasnain dismissed Mohammad Harris to Jason Roy for 18 runs. On the very next ball, Mohammad Hasnain caught Saim Ayub in front of the wicket and got out LBW by Mohammad Hasnain for Golden Duck.

Tom Kohler Cadmore and Babar Azam also did not trouble the scorers much and got out cheaply. Tom Kohler Cadmore scored 9 runs from 9 balls and was dismissed by Mohammad Hasnain. Babar Azam got out on 19 runs from 18 balls with the help of 3 fours. Babar Azam got out LBW to Mohhamad Nawaz.

QG VS PES: Lower Order took Peshawar Zalmi Home

QG VS PES: Lower-order batsmen like Jimmy Neesham and Rovman Powell played brilliantly in the end. Dasun Shanaka and Wahab Riaz took Peshawar Zalmi home with a comprehensive victory. Jimmy Neesham scored 38 runs from 23 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Rovman Powell made 36 runs from 23 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes in his crucial innings.

In the end, Dasun Shanaka and Wahab Riaz took Peshawar Zalmi home to take 2 crucial points. Dasun Shanaka made 16 runs from 16 balls and Wahab Riaz scored 10 runs from 12 balls. Peshawar Zalmi won the match with 9 balls to spare.
