In the chase of 186 runs, Lahore Qalandars could only manage 118 runs. They have been all out on this score with all credit going to Akif Javed. Akif Javed took 4 wickets for just 28 runs and bundled out Lahore Qalandars. Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim received the Player of the Match Award for his brilliant all-around performance. Imad made 35 runs from 19 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes and he also took 1 wicket with the ball.
KK VS LQ: Lahore Qalandars won the toss and chose to bowl first
KK VS LQ: Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and invited Karachi Kings to bat first. Karachi Kings got a very good start and managed 61 runs in the Powerplay with the loss of no wicket. Wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade and James Vince got a good start for the first wicket. The opening partnership was broken when Matthew Wade got run out by Kamran Ghulam. Wade scored 36 runs off 24 balls and hit 4 fours and 1 six.
Haider Ali and James Vince added 32 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Haider Ali got bowled by Liam Dawson with 18 runs from 16 balls. Soon the experienced campaigner Shoaib Malik also departs for 10 runs to Lahore Qalandars pacer Haris Rauf.

KK VS LQ: Karachi Kings all-rounders Imad Wasim and Ben Cutting batted brilliantly in the last phase of the first innings. Imad Wasim and Ben Cutting added 52 runs for the 5th wicket. Imad Wasim scored 35 runs from 19 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 184.21. Ben Cutting also made 20 runs from 19 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi put the breaks on Ben Cutting’s inning.

KK VS LQ: Lahore Qalandars openers Fakhar Zaman and Mirza Baig started well and added 40 runs for the wicket in just 4.1 overs. Fakhar Zaman got dismissed by Aamer Yamin on 15 runs from 12 balls with the help of 2 fours. Soon the Shai Hope also got out to Irfan Khan by Mohammad Amir with a single-digit score of 1. Kamran Ghulam and Mirza Baig added 41 runs for the 3rd wicket partnership. Mirza Baig scored 45 runs from 39 balls. He smashed 3 fours in his innings and got out to Matthew Wade by Akif Javed.

KK SV LQ: After the dismissal of Mirza Baig, Lahore Qalandars batters looked in hurry and they did not even manage to stay on the crease. They lost their 8 wickets for just 32 runs. Akif Javed is been the pick of the bowler for Karachi Kings as he picked 4 wickets for 28 runs with an economy of 8.00.
Ben Cutting and Aamer Yamin shared 2 wickets each meanwhile Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir took 1-1 wicket each.

KK VS LQ: Karachi Kings moved to 2nd place after the win against the Lahore Qalandars. Karachi with a good run rate is placed on the 2nd position ahead of other teams. In the upcoming days of the Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars will face off against Quetta Gladiators on Tuesday, 21 Feb 2023. On the other hand, Karachi Kings will play the next match against Multan Sultans on Wednesday, 22 Feb 2023.
