WPL Auction 2023: The Women’s Indian Premier League is all set to start in March 2023. The WPL Auction 2023 took place in Mumbai at Jio World Center on Monday. A total of 448 players registered themselves for the WPL Auction 2023 who went under the hammer. Out of 448 players, 269 players were Indians, 179 were overseas, and 19 of them were from Associate Nations.
The 5 franchises have shown interest in the Women’s IPL. UP Warriorz (UPW), Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), and Delhi Capitals (DC) are among them. These franchises eyed Big Players like Ellyse Perry, Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Ashleigh Gardner, and many others.
