After being invited to bat first, Multan Sultans made a very good start for the opening wicket. Opening batters Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan added 85 runs for the first wicket. Multan Sultans vs Karachi Kings: Multan Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan played brilliantly in the match and scored his Maiden Ton of the PSL Career. He made 110 runs from 64 balls with the help of 10 fours and 4 sixes. He provided unreal acceleration to his innings after the half-century. It is noticeable that he completed his half-century in 48 balls. In the next 18 balls, he scored another 50 runs. Mohammad Rizwan completed his century in 60 balls. In the last 4 balls of his innings, he made 10 runs. This was Mohammad Rizwan’s top-class century against his old franchise who once said “Rizwan can not hit sixes and he does not fit into the team”.

Multan Sultans vs Karachi Kings: Karachi Kings got the best possible start by their openers. Both openers Matthew Wade and James Vince added 72 runs for the opening wicket partnership. At 6.1 overs, Multan Sultans spinner Usama Mir dismissed Matthew Wade on just 20 runs. James Vince and Haider Ali made a partnership of 37 runs from 22 balls. James Vince was unfortunate as he got run out by Usama Mir at the striker’s end. He made 75 runs from 34 balls with the help of 7 fours and 6 sixes. At the dismissal of James Vince the Karachi Kings’ score was 2/105 in 9.5 overs.

Multan Sultans vs Karachi Kings: The slow innings of Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik puts unnecessary pressure on the team. Both batsmen have been unable to match the required run rate and played extra balls per run. Haider Ali made 12 runs from 17 balls meanwhile Shoaib Malik made 13 runs from 19 balls. Even though these two batsmen have not been able to manage a single boundary in their innings.

Karachi Kings Skipper Imad Wasim fought till the end for Karachi but was unable to take his team over the line. He made 46 runs from 26 balls with the help of 5 sixes. He remained not out till the end with Irfan Khan.

Multan Sultans vs Karachi Kings: Multan Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan received the Player of the Match Award for his spectacular century. Rizwan made 110 runs from 64 balls with a strike rate of 171.87. He hits 10 fours and 4 sixes in his gold innings. He is the top scorer of the HBL PSL 8.
