IND vs BAN 35th T20 World Cup Match: In the Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup between India vs Bangladesh Oval, Adelaide. India defeated Bangladesh in a must win game. They beat Bangladesh by 5 runs in a rain affected match. This win put them on the top of the table of Group-2. They almost booked their place in the Semi-finals of the T20 world cup. Now they have to face Zimbabwe in the final match of Super 12 of the T20 World cup on 6 November at Melbourne.

IND vs BAN: Bangladesh Skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss against India and decided to bowl first. After being invited to bat first India lost their Skipper Rohit Sharma early. Hasan Mahmud removed Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma 2(8). After that KL Rahul and Virat Kohli took the lead. Both added a 67 runs partnership for the second wicket. Rahul was dismissed after scoring 52 runs in 32 balls.

Bangladesh Skipper Shakib Al Hasan dismissed Kl Rahul. Kohli added 38 runs for the third wicket with Surya Kumar Yadav. Surya Kumar played a good knock of 30 runs off 16 balls. Shakib al Hasan broke the partnership by dismissing Surya Kumar Yadav. No other Indian batsman could contribute much. Hardik Pandya (5), Dinesh Karthik (7), Axar Patel (9) runs didn’t contribute much with bat.

Once again Virat Kohli remained not out and played an unbeaten innings of 64 runs in 44 balls along with R Ashwin remained unbeaten on 13* off 6 balls which helped India to Post a total of 184/6 in 20 overs.

For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmood took three and Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets.

IND vs BAN: Litton Das gave a blazing start to Bangladesh

IND vs BAN: Bangladeshi opener Litton Das helped Bangladesh to get off  a blazing start. He smashed Indian bowlers all over the ground in the batting power play. He pushed India on the back foot by hitting a half-century in just 21 balls. Bangladesh had scored 66 runs in 7 overs when the rain came and after that the match was stopped for a while and when the match started, Bangladesh got the target of 151 runs in 16 overs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

IND vs BAN: Liton Das was run out by a direct throw by KL Rahul in Ashwin’s over when the match started after rain. After that Indian bowlers put Bangladesh batsman under pressure by not giving runs easily. After which Bangladesh Batsman keep losing wickets at regular intervals. Despite this, Nurul Hasan (19) and Taskin Ahmed (12) added 37 runs in 19 balls for the seventh wicket to take Bangladesh close to the target. Bangladesh needed 20 runs in the last over.

Arshdeep Singh bowled the last over for India. He gave 13 runs in the first five balls. Bangladesh needed 7 runs in the last ball to win and 6 runs to level the score but Arshdeep Singh bowled the last ball full outside off and Nurul Hasan only lofted it for a single. Arshdeep restricted Bangladesh to 145 runs which helped India to win the match by 5 runs.

For India, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh took two wickets each while Mohammed Shami took one wicket.

Virat Kohli becomes the highest run scorer in men’s T20 World Cups

IND vs BAN: Indian team’s star Batsman Virat Kohli has become the highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup. He became the tournament’s all-time top scorer after completing his 16th run against Bangladesh. In the match against Bangladesh, Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 64 runs off 44 balls with eight fours and a six. With this, Virat Kohli has scored 1065 runs in the T20 World Cup till now, he left behind Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene who scored 1,016 runs in 31 matches at an average of 39.07.

India tops the Points Table with this Win

IND vs BAN: With this win, India team has 6 points in four matches. They have now reached the top of the table in Group-2 of Super-12. India also left behind South Africa (5).

TeamIndia still has one more match to play, which is against Zimbabwe. India needs to win this match, to reach the semi-finals of the T20 world cup 2022.
