India was in trouble at 48 for 3 at one point, but important partnerships between Pujara and Rishabh Pant and later Pujara and Iyer helped India achieve 278 for 6 at the end of the play. KL Rahul, the interim captain of India, won the toss and decided to bat versus the Shakib Al Hasan-led team. Regular India skipper Rohit Sharma missed the test due to injury.
