IND VS AUS DAY 1: India bowled out Australia for 263 runs in the first innings of the 2nd test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Indian pacer Mohammad Shami took 4 wickets for India whereas Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took 3-3 wickets each. Australian opener Usman Khwaja is been the highest run scorer for Australia. Khwaja made 81 runs off 125 balls with 12 fours and a six. Peter Handscomb remained not out throughout the innings and made 72 runs from 142 balls with the help of 9 fours. India was 21 for no loss at Stumps on Day with Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to be on the crease.

IND VS AUS DAY 1: Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first. This is the second consecutive time he won the toss in the series. Australia made 2 changes in the team for the 2nd test. They included Travis Head and Matthew Kuhnemann in place of Matthew Renshaw and Scott Boland.

Australian openers started the innings cautiously and both batters added 50 runs for the 1st wicket in 15.2 overs. Mohammad Shami dismissed David Warner for 15 runs from 44 balls with the help of 3 boundaries.

Usman Khawaja’s Attacking Batting Approach

IND VS AUS DAY 1: Australian opener Usman Khwaja came with a positive and aggressive mindset in the second test. Khwaja totally failed in the first test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy as he is unable to score 10 from both innings. He came with an aggressive batting approach today. He attacked the spinners with sweep and reverse sweep and slog sweeps. Most of the boundaries he scored through the different types of sweep shots.

Usman Khwaja scored 81 runs from 125 balls with the help of 12 fours and 1 six. He got out to KL Rahul by Ravindra Jadeja. Khwaja was trying to play the reverse sweep but he mistimed the ball into the hands of KL Rahul.

IND VS AUS DAY 1: Indian off-spin all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin bowled beautifully throughout the day, especially in the first session. He trapped World No.1 & 2 in quick succession. Ashwin dismisses Marnus Labuchagne and Steve Smith in the space of just 3 balls. He trapped Marnus Labuchagne in front of the wicket as he got out on LBW. Just after the 1 ball Ashwin removed Steve Smith for the 2nd ball duck.

IND VS AUS DAY 1: Peter Handscomb played the spinners superbly and scored 72 runs not out from 142 balls. No other batsman gave support to him after the dismissal of Usman Khwaja. He got the little support of Australian skipper Pat Cummins. Once Cummins got out to Ravindra Jadeja the Australian innings wrapped in a fast-forward manner. At the same over Todd Murphy also became the victim of Ravindra Jadeja.

Mohammad Shami took 4 wickets in the Australian innings meanwhile Ashwin and Jadeja claimed 3-3 wickets each.

IND VS AUS DAY 1: India will resume their first innings on 0/21 on Day 3. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul is still on the crease to take the Indian innings forward. Rohit Sharma is not out on 13 runs from 34 balls with the help of 1 four and KL Rahul on 4 runs.
