The first test match of the Two Test Match Series between New Zealand and England started today at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. England started the proceedings of the match with their both openers. Harry Brook is been the top scorer for England. Harry Brook made 89 runs off 81 balls whereas Ben Duckett made 84 runs off 68 balls. New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner is been the most successful bowler for his side and took 4 wickets. In response, New Zealand lost 3 early wickets for just 37 runs with Conway and Wagner still on the crease.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: England batters made an aggressive batting approach throughout the whole innings. They scored 5.57 runs per over in this inning of the first test. England declared their innings after playing 58.2 overs for 325/9. England batters did not allow any New Zealand bowler to settle down and pick the right length. Harry Brook and Ben Duckett is been too much hot to handle for Kiwi bowlers. They both smashed them all over the park.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: Earlier on the day New Zealand Test Skipper Tim Southee won the toss and decided to bowl first. Zack Crawley and Ben Duckett entered the ground for proceeding with the England innings. Zack Crawley went back to the pavilion earlier when he was trying to play a cover drive to Tim Southee. He is been unable to take control of the shot and the ball went to the slip cordon after edging his bat.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope made a solid 99 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. The pair only took 13 overs to complete the 99 runs partnership. Ben Duckett scored 84 runs from 68 balls with 14 gorgeous fours. He is been dismissed by Blair Tickner to the hands of Michael Bracewell. Ollie Pope scored 42 runs off 65 balls and smashed 6 beautiful fours. Ollie Pope also lost his wicket to the New Zealand skipper Tim Southee. He is been caught by the New Zealand wicket-keeper Tom Latham.  Just after the space of 2 runs Former England Test Team Captain Joe Root lost his wicket. Daryl Mitchell caught him in the slips on Neil Wagner’s delivery.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: The new batting sensation of England Harry Brook kept on impressing. Harry Brook played furious innings of 89 runs off just 81 balls with some eye-pleasing drives. He smashed 14 fours and 1 six in his innings. He is been bowled by New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner. This was one of the quality innings of Harry Brook after the test ton against Pakistan in Pakistan.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: Harry Brook made a partnership of 55 runs with England skipper Ben Stokes for the 5th wicket. Ben Stokes got behind out to Tom Latham by Kuggeleijn on 19 runs. The wicket-keeper batter of England Ben Foakes kept on batting with Brook and made a solid 89 runs partnership for the 6th wicket. Ben Foakes was dismissed by Wagner and caught by Williamson. He made 38 runs from 56 balls.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner is been the most impressive bowler on Day 1 of the first test match. Wagner picked up 4 important wickets for the England batting side. He bowled 16.2 overs and took 4/82. Apart from him Tim Southee and Scott Kuggeleijn shared 2 wickets each and 1 for Blair Tickner.

NZ VS ENG Day 1: In response to England’s 9/325, New Zealand lost early wickets at the end of the Day 1 of the first test match. At the stumps of Day 1, New Zealand’s score was 3/37 from 18 overs. New Zealand opener Devon Conway and night watchman batter Neil Wagner are still at the crease to bat on Day 2. Conway is not out on 17 runs off 54 balls and Wagner is not out on 4 runs off 13 balls.

James Anderson picked a couple of wickets for Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls. Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls made 6 and 4 runs respectively. Meanwhile, Ollie Robinson got the only wicket of Tom Latham who made 1 run.
