NZ VS ENG DAY 2: New Zealand wicket-keeper batter Tom Blundell played brilliant innings of 138 runs from 181 balls. He played gutsy innings and showed resilience toward the England bowling attack. He smashed 19 fours and 1 six. Tom Blundell made 59 runs partnership for the 10th wicket with Blair Tickner. England pacer James Anderson finished the innings of Tom Blundell with a brilliant caught and bowled. Anderson finished his bowling figures with 3/36 from 16.5 overs with 2.13 economy.

NZ VS ENG DAY 2: Devon Conway and Neil Wagner resumed New Zealand innings on Day 2 from 3/37. They both made the partnership of 51 runs for the 4th wicket. Neil Wagner got out to Stuart Broad caught by Ollie Robinson. He made 27 runs from 32 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. Soon Daryl Mitchell also got out on duck after facing the 10 balls. Daryl Mitchell got plumbed in front of the wicket to Robinson.

Meanwhile, Michael Bracewell, Scott Kuggeleijn, and Tim Southee contributed 7, 20, and 10 runs respectively. Devon Conway played a matured innings of 77 runs from 151 balls with 7 fours and 1 six.

NZ VS ENG DAY 2: England pacer Ollie Robinson outplayed the New Zealand batters and did not allow them to score runs freely. He dismissed 4 batters of the England side in the first innings of the first test match. Ollie Robinson dismissed Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Scott Kuggeleijn, and Tim Southee. He took 4 wickets for 54 runs from his 19 overs with 2.84 economies. On the other hand, James Anderson also took 3 wickets for 36 runs from 16.5 overs with 2.13 economy.

Zack Crawley made 28 runs from 39 balls. He smashed 6 fours before getting out to Scott Kuggeleijn. Ben Duckett also did not contribute much in the second innings. He got out on 25 runs after facing 27 balls.
