Vijay Kiran Anand is included among the confident IAS Officers of the 2009 batch. Initially from Bangalore, VK Anand’s initial posting was as SDM in Baghpat. After this, he embellished as CDO Barabanki. As DM he did terrific work in Varanasi and Shahjahanpur. Before this, he was posted as Uttar Pradesh’s State Project Director and Director of General School Education. From here Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given confirmation to mark him DM of his home district Gorakhpur. During his tenure in Shahjahanpur Vijay Kiran Anand saved the life of a girl suffering from pain by giving blood. Actually, he had gone to a government hospital for inspection. VK Anand is a sensitive person who got emotional and confronted the doctors and quickly donated blood himself and saved her survival. Reema, the girl who was saved thanked the DM by saying to him as God.
