Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan is an executive of Indian army. He has been in the social platform now. As he was appointed as the next Chief of Defence Staff, on September 28 2022. In 1981, Chauhan was authorized into the 11 Gorkha rifles of the Indian army. An alum of the Khadakwasla, National Defence Academy, and the Indian Military Army of Dehradun. He directed an infantry division in the Baramulla sector of the Northern Command in the string of Major Generals.
Later he commanded a corps in the Northeast and eventually became the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command from September 2019.
