Maneka Sanjay Gandhi of Bhartiya Janata Party achieved the Sultanpur Lok Sabha constituency by obtaining a verge of 14,526 votes. She defeated Chandra Bhadra Singh of BSP who secured 4,44,670 votes. The majority was counted as 14,526 which is 1.46 in percentage. The 2014 Lok Sabha election recorded 1,703,698 electors among which 910,349 were males and 793,349 were female. A total number of 15 candidates competed in the 2014 Sultanpur Lok Sabha election.

Sultanpur Lok Sabha: Maneka Gandhi born on August 26, 1956, is an Indian leader, environmentalist, and animal rights activist. She is the representative of Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, and also a member of the BJP. she is the widow of Sanjay Gandhi who was also an Indian Politician. Maneka Gandhi has been a minister in four governments, most currently in Narendra Modi’s government from May 2014 to May 2019. Gandhi encourages many individuals toward social entrepreneurship.

Sultanpur Lok Sabha: She is also a writer of many books in the fields of etymology, law, and animal welfare. She published The Complete Book of Muslim and Parsi Names in remembrance of her husband’s Zoroastrian faith. Maneka’s relationship with Indira Gandhi gently fall to pieces after the death of Sanjay Gandhi and continuous argument took place. She was finally forced out of 1, Safdarjung road, the residence of the Prime Minister after a quarrel with Indira. She established the Rashtriya Sanjay Manch along with Akbar Ahmad. The party principally concentrated on employment and youth empowerment. It gained four out of five seats in Andhra Pradesh. 

Sultanpur Lok Sabha: Gandhi competed in the Amethi constituency from Uttar Pradesh for the 1984 general election for the Lok Sabha. But she lost to Rajiv Gandhi. She unite with V P Singh’s Janata Dal Party in 1988 and became the general secretary. She won her first election to parliament in the 1989 Indian general election and was embellished as a Minister of State as the Minister for Environment. Maneka Gandhi got hitched to Sanjay Gandhi, son of Prime Minister Indira on September 23, 1974. Her husband died in a plane crash when she was twenty-three years old. She has a son named Feroze.

Sultanpur Lok Sabha: The first parliamentary election was held in 1952 in Sultanpur. B V Keskar of the Indian National Congress was a Member of Parliament. Two times he was elected to the parliament from Sultanpur and Musafir khana. He united with the Indian National Congress during the Non-cooperation movement of 1921.
