The Golden Glove Award is given to the most magnificent goalkeeper at each FIFA World Cup final. An award has been presented to the best goalkeeper since the first World Cup in 1930. From 1930 till 1990 the All-Star team of the tournament was titled one goalkeeper except in 1990 when two were titled. A specified award for the best goalkeeper of the World Cup was founded in 1994. The award was titled in the honor of the late and ancient Russian goalkeeper Lev Yashin.

Who Won in 2018 and 2014?
Manuel Neuer was already regarded by many to be the best goalkeeper in the World. Now officially he can be said as the best goalkeeper at the 2014 World Cup after achieving the Golden Glove Award. He performed a vital role in Germany’s success at the 2014 FIFA World Cup granting just four goals throughout the tournament.
