Deepak Chahar injury update: Chennai Super Kings are all set to face Rajasthan Royals tomorrow at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. They have played the past two matches exceptionally well. Their squad is giving tough competition to opponents’ players. Right Arm bowler Deepak Chahar may not participate in CSK tomorrow. After suffering a hamstring injury during the MI vs. CSK match at Wankhede Stadium.
Deepak Chahar bowled only one initial over against MI at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. After receiving treatment, he stumbled off the pitch and did not return for CSK. The Indian pacer will now undergo scans to determine the condition of the injury and he is likely to get a few matches of rest. Deepak Chahar missed the last season of IPL due to injuries, returned to IPL 2023, and after playing two matches with CSK again suffered a new hamstring injury to his left leg. CSK franchise acquired the service of Deepak Chahar for 14 crores. Deepak Chahar has taken 59 wickets to date in the IPL.
Deepak Chahar Along with Ben Stokes to Miss Few Games
Meanwhile, fast bowler Ben Stokes, who missed the match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, will not be able to play a further few matches for CSK. The all-rounder participated in the first two matches of CSK and hit 15 runs and bowled one over against Lucknow Super Giants. He suffered a toe injury during LSG and missed the MI vs CSK match. It looks like he’ll be out along with Deepak for the next few matches.
“Deepak Chahar will undergo scans to identify the extent of the injury once the team returns to Chennai,” said CSK in a statement on Sunday. Both players are getting medical support and CSK medical staff are monitoring their injuries closely.
Ben Stokes could return for the next match of CSK against RCB on 17 April but it depends on the recovery. However, there is positive news for CSK fans as CSK will be welcoming back Moeen Ali for the next match against Rajasthan Royals. He missed the previous match against Mumbai Indians due to food poisoning. It looks like he is fit for further matches.
CSK is in prominent form
CSK has won its last two matches in the absence of three prominent all-rounders. Anjinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja took responsibility for the wicket. They defeated Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets and LSG by 12 runs. MS Dhoni warned his bowlers to improve their game and not to deliver no-balls and wide-balls after CSK vs LSG.
CSK is set to face off RR despite the injury of Deepak Chahar
