MS Dhoni’s team CSK faces LSG on 3 April Monday at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. LSG lost by 12 runs in this match making the CSK’s first victory in IPL 2023 season. However, CSk won this match but Dhoni wasn’t happy with the bowler’s performance and issued a strict warning to them. He bluntly said” They will have to limit no balls and wide balls. We are giving too many extra deliveries and needed to cut them else, they will have to play under the new captain”
He added that the fast bowling needs to improve and they should throw according to the condition. They need to keep an eye on what the opponent bowlers are doing. MS Dhoni said he was surprised by the pitch as it produced a lot of runs for them and it is the only reason CSK performed well.
CSK sent three no-balls and 13 wides a total of 16 extra runs to LSG. KL Rahul‘s team managed to hit 205 runs but couldn’t reach the score of 217 to win the game. In their previous match with Gujrat Giants, CSK delivered four wide balls and two no-balls in the opening ceremony at Narendra Modi Stadium.
MS Dhoni is not Happy with CSK Bowlers
CSK pacer Rajvardhan gave 3 wide balls and one no-ball to Lucknow Super Giants on Monday. He again threw three more wides to the opposite team. Fast bowler Deshpande took two wickets but also gave four wides (free runs) to LSG. Veteran bowler Deepak Chahar also gave 5 extra runs. These wides and no-balls from them annoyed Captain Cool MS Dhoni.
Lucknow Super Giant’s captain KL Rahul said they did not have a great start after inviting CSK to bat first. Talking about Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad, he said they both hit some amazing shots and the team needs to learn and do better next time. The match was not very lucky for Lucknow Super Giants but their previous match with DC is what they can call a game.
Mayers’s contribution to the team LSG was significant as he again scored 50 allowing LSG to win. He reached 79 runs and caught out while trying to hit a big 6.
