The men’s ODI World Cup is going to be special. No captains from the previous edition will be led by the teams for the men’s ODI World Cup. All the teams that are participating in the ODI World Cup are set to have new captains.

Due to the change in circumstances from the past four years all new faces will be wearing the captain’s hat for the men’s ODI World Cup 2023. Kane Williamson was the only captain from the previous edition likely to lead New Zealand’s team for the 2023 edition but due to his injury in IPL 2023, he will not be able to participate in the men’s World Cup 2023. Eoin Morgan pioneered the England team during the men’s ODI World Cup in 2019. He is now retired and Eoin Morgan led his team to the finals against the Kiwis. Jos Buttler is leading the England team after Eoin’s retirement. it will be worth watching the new decisions for the England team who scored the most in the men’s ODI World Cup 2019.

Aaron Finch led the Australian team to the ODI World Cup in 2019. In early 2023, he announced his retirement from international cricket. He led the Australian team for a long time and represented his team in 252 matches. Pat Cummins will be the new captain of the Australian team in 2023. The tournament will be the 13th edition of the men’s ICC ODI World Cup. A total of 32 countries will be participating in the tournament and only 10 teams will qualify. Some countries have already been selected for the tournament which are India, England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and, West Indies.
