After session two of the second Test in Adelaide, an effective Australian assault with the pink ball under spotlights left the West Indies in chaos. Their chances of winning the series were dim.

Only Tagenarine Chanderpaul, the famous batsman Shivnarine’s son. He managed to fend off the onslaught with calculated shifts in response to Australia’s quicks’ pressing pace deliveries.

After making an excellent breakthrough in the first Test with scores of 51 and 45. Chanderpaul persisted and infrequently displayed flair, such as a swipe for 6 versus spin bowler Nathan Lyon.

Brathwaite stood out with strokes of 64 and 110, although playing the pink ball underneath lights was a new obstacle.

AUS vs WI 2 Day2: Neser, who has a predilection for swing, wasn’t allowed to contribute through till the 10th over. But he promptly had Brathwaite caught behind off a flawless line and shorter delivery.

Neser almost added something else but missed a difficult one-handed redirection opportunity after leaping to his left and dropping Brooks. Roston Chase, Lyon’s opponent, did nothing except relieve the strain whenever he delivered in Australia’s first innings. Lyon entered the assault in the 21st over and was much more dangerous right away.

After a strong batting performance earlier, Australia’s dominance strengthened when Green removed debutant Devon Thomas a little previously stumps. Lyon added to his wicket total by dismissing Jermaine Blackwood with a reverse catch.

Windies look hopeless

Australia made their 3rd straight declaration in this lopsided two-Test series. With stand-in captain Steven Smith ending their first innings just before tea.

The third-highest fourth-wicket collaboration for Australia even against West Indies put together by Head and Labuschagne. Who overpowered a woeful West Indies pace with massive hundreds in a 297-run combination.

After Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith quickly dismissed for a duck and Australia reached 131 for 3. Head and Labuschagne were nearly faultless on the batting-friendly Adelaide Oval pitch.

Due to their easiness, it looked as though Head and Labuschagne would also unexpectedly fail to achieve a dual hundred.

Local hero Head and Marnus do it for Australia

Labuschagne trapped under by Thomas late in the first innings and perished for 163. While Head’s run out on 175 soon after supper. Thomas’ slick pace bowlers were a breakthrough.

Head, the local hero, had just sailed beyond his greatest Test score of 16. But tragedy ensued when he mixed up with Green.

While Labuschagne was fundamentally proficient and didn’t warrant great luck. Which he occasionally appears to possess in abundance. Head’s sixth Test tonne was typified by provocations and constant looting of extras over the off side.

A worn-out Mindley, who had landed in Adelaide from the Caribbean only two days prior to the Test as injury cover, had bad luck.

Unless their budding star Chanderpaul can create something extraordinary on day three. West Indies, who have trounced over the past two days. And are suffering from mounting illnesses, will undoubtedly lose.
