Another far-reaching win for Australia in AUS vs ENG 2nd ODI, as they secure the series with a match to spare. Australia won by 72 runs. England was right in it for a big part of the track. But then fall in a heap. Josh Hazlewood expressed that he is lucky to have players around him. And praised Steven Smith, for a classy knock. Steve Smith continued his fertile ODI form, Mitchell Starc gave a gesture of his first over skill, and Adam Zampa hastened England’s middle order as Australia wrapped up the series with a persuasive 72-run victory in Sydney on Josh Hazlewood’s captaincy debut. Mitchell Starc stated on Hazlewood that he is best in his format. Mitchell Starc was declared the Player of the Match.

AUS vs ENG 2nd ODI: Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa trapped four wickets as England fell short of the target. Despite Sam Billing (71) and James Vince (60) fifties. Earlier Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith performed knocks of 58 and 94, respectively, as Australia showcased 280/8 in 50 overs against England in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series in Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday. 

Smith’s 94 from 114 balls was a huge contribution to Australia’s innings, with a smooth half-century. From Marnus Labuschagne and a more difficult working effort from Mitchell Marsh. England never entirely loses their temper with the ball. And especially thanks to Adil Rashid’s three wickets. But a whole of 280 felt very competitive on a surface that was not easy to achieve.

AUS vs ENG 2nd ODI: The target looked much more unsettling after just five balls of England’s chase, by which moment Starc had two wickets in his name. Jason Roy’s fight did not subside as he gloved down the leg side of the second ball. Then Starc constructed a rapid outswing to initially beat Dawid Malan two times, then take out the off stump with an unusable delivery.

AUS vs ENG 2nd ODI: Malan was looking to perform to the leg side with an open face, but having opened a fine century two days. He had the right to perceive positivity and the ball-shaped late and at a rate to beat the edge. Smith and Labuschagne attached 101 in 19 overs for the third wicket. After that, Marsh and Smith put on 90 for the fifth after Rashid had banged Australia back with two wickets in two balls. 

Australia’s opener made a speed start before Moeen hit with his second ball when David Warner swept to square leg. Labuschagne began positively when he bounced down the pitch to Moeen, floated him over wide mid-on, and normally secured more freely than Smith. 

Labuschagne went to a graceful 47-ball fifty, which displayed the most smooth batting of the innings.

AUS vs ENG 2nd ODI: Australia is already 1-0 up in the series after achieving the first ODI by six wickets on Thursday (17 November). Steve Smith was noticed back in the form as he performed a significant unbeaten bang of 80 off 78 deliveries. He was once again in the limelight from his bang on Saturday (19 November).
