Allahabad parliamentary constituency is in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Allahabad experienced two MPs elected and became the Prime Minister. During 1964-1966 Lal Bahadur Shastri became the Prime Minister. And V P Singh was elected two times from the constituency and later became the Prime Minister.
In the 2019 election, Rita Bahuguna Joshi won the Allahabad parliamentary constituency from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the verge of 1,84,275 votes. She defeated Rajendra Singh Patel of SP. Rita Joshi secured 4,94,454 votes. Rita Bahuguna Joshi is the incumbent Member of Parliament of the Allahabad constituency. Allahabad parliamentary constituency falls under the area of Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad South, Meja, Bara (SC), Koraon (SC), and Karachhana are the Assembly constituencies considered in the Allahabad Lok Sabha. This constituency has observed a 51.70% voter turnout in the Lok Sabha elections of 2019.

The previous election table shows that the Bhartiya Janata party’s candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi won the election and collected 494,454 votes. She defeated Rajendra Singh Patel, who collected 3,10,179 votes, who belongs to SP. The majority to be counted as 1,84,275 and the turnout is said to be 8,89,553.
Rita Bahuguna Joshi: A True Warrior

Rita Bahuguna Joshi was born on July 22 1949. She was the cabinet minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh and an Indian politician. From 2007 to 2012, she was the President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. She is the girlchild of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in the Indian state.
She joined BJP on October 20 2016. Joshi was elected to the parliamentary constituency, the lower house of the Parliament of India from Allahabad, in the 2019 General Election as the representative of BJP. From 1995 to 2000, she held the post of mayor of Allahabad. She is an earlier Vice President of the National Council of Women.
Since 2003, she has been the President of All India Mahila Congress and the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee since 2007. She has contested failure twice in the election to the Lok Sabha. In the 2012 state election, she was appointed as a member of the Legislative Assembly for the Lucknow Cantonment. She contested the 2014 Lok Sabha election from Lucknow and lost.
She joined the Bhartiya Janata Party on October 20, 2016 in the attendance of BJP President Amit shah.
Joshi Got Arrested
She was retarded for allegedly making defamatory of UP Chief Minister Mayawati. She was later sent to Moradabad jail for 14 days of judicial custody. Joshi’s lecture was about the law and order situation of Uttar Pradesh and the rising number of rapes in the state.
She commented that simply remunerating the women with money was not enough. Women were paid Rs 25,000 after being raped as compensation. Her lecture was about if a woman who is raped should throw the money in the face of Mayawati and should have told her that “she should also be raped and I would give you 10 million rupees.”
On May 11 2011, she was one among the party leaders who got arrested by the Meerut extent police from the Bhatta Parsaul village of UP with other fella leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh. They were participating in the disturbance of the local farmers denouncing the State Government policies.
When Was the First Parliamentary Election held in Allahabad?

The first election was held in 1952. Sri Prakasa was elected to the parliamentary constituency from Allahabad in 1952. And quite soon appointed as the governor of Madras. He served as Governor from 1952 to 1956. In the same year, Purushottam Das Tandon was elected as MP uncontested.
