On Saturday October 1, a Ligue 1 match held between PSG vs NICE. Here’s all the details about the game. During yesterday’s match Messi scored a free kick while Mbappe struck the late winner off the bench as PSG beat Nice 2-1.
The game between Paris Saint-Germain and Nice took place at the Parc des Princes, Paris, France at around 12:30 AM. PSG started the game on the front foot and they played it quite well in the first half.
In the midfield, with Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha, the hosts kept possession of the ball for lengthy spells. At first, Messi looked fine as the player went for several shots. The 35-year-old not just scored a free kick but he hits his 60th goal from a direct free kick.
PSG vs NICE First Half Highlights

At 24′ Messi managed to evade markers but his pass to Neymar wasn’t sharp enough. On the other hand, Nice made a quick break but pressing wasn’t accurate enough which came to an end.

At 28′ Messi sets off on a rapid dribble, Dante had to foul him to prevent him ro entering from the box. As a result, the Argentinian got a free kick, and that is exactly what he needed.
Messi did what he always does, he steps in and puts it over the wall and under the bar. He got a free kick and he thumped it in and scored the Goal for the team.

At 36′ Another free-kick for PSG and as we know free kick will usually go to Messi. Though Neymar is in close proximity and it is the Brazilian who whips it in.
At 44′ Neymar tried to dazzle past a few. He tried to set up Vitinha but the pass is too wide. Nice tried to regain the lost momentum, but lacked in the final pass.
At 45′ Messi along with Bernat link up down the left as he shoots with venom. However, Schmeichel saw this coming as he punched it away. And that’s it, It’s half time!
As of now it has been a one-man show run by only Lionel Messi. PSG is leading against Nice 1-0 at Half time.
PSG vs NICE Second Half Highlights
It has been 48′ Nice re-started the game quite well and they were surely rewarded immediately. A cross floated and Laborde went in to take it down as he pumped it past Donarumma. And that’s it! Finally a Goal for Nice! Now it is 1-1 and the game has just begun.
At 56′ Nice were dominating. Mbappe arrived in the game, his spark is what PSG needed to get back into the game.
After 4 more minutes, Messi and Neymar stick together before they set up Vitinha to shoot. And it’s almost time for Mbappe to come in.
It’s been 62′ Mbappe instantly got a chance to run at Nice defenders. He finds Neymar, but the ball is stolen from underneath his feet.
At 68′ Nice brought in Ivorian winger Pepe while PSG attackers were pinning their opponents defenders back into their box. Hakimi got involved quite heavily as PSG looked to retake the lead.

It’s been 72′ Messi threads the needle to release Nuno. However Schmeichel came out to block Messi’s inch perfect pass. PSG sent more men forward as Nice defenders quickly quelled the goal mouth. Meanwhile, Renato comes off the bench.
At 83′ Finally, It is Mbappe time. Mukiele, a second half sub, got past the defense line into the right hand byline and cut it back for Mbappe for a simple finish. And bang!
Mbappe did it. It’s another goal from PSG. Once again PSG is leading 2-1 against Nice. Four minutes have passed and Renato is down on the floor. Medical came and it didn’t look like it came from any sort of contact.
Meanwhile Messi is subbed, fans were applauding the man and Sanches is replaced by Danilo. At 90′ Pepe found himself in space down the right. But he didn’t find the right cross. Nice looked desperate to get forward but PSG has already doubled their defense.
