DD vs FB: Dhaka Dominators thrashed Fortune Barishal to win by 5 wickets. Mohammad Mithun was announced the Player of the Match for his spectacular effort of 54 runs off 36 deliveries. With Shakib Al Hassan winning the toss and electing to bat, Barishal put up a decent 156 runs with the loss of 8 wickets on the scoreboard. The score was successfully chased by Dominators.
Haque and Hassan’s wonderful opening partnership gave a foundation to the team
DD vs FB: Anamul Haque and Saif Hassan had given a steady start to their team by pairing up a partnership of 42 runs off 38 deliveries. Haque started to smash boundaries from the start. His inning consisted of five 4s and one 6 to achieve 42 runs. Saif Hassan on the other end couldn’t be on the crease for a long time. He was dismissed by Amir Hamza’s delivery scoring only 15 off 19 deliveries.
DD vs FB: Mahmudullah’s late contribution to provide a decent target
DD vs FB: Fortune Barishal’s batting order following the opening batsman Hassan’s dismissal couldn’t provide much as Dominator’s bowlers came into the work. Barishal skipper Shakib Al Hassan sluggishly dismissed on only 5 runs facing only 4 deliveries. Following the disaster of the middle order, Mahmudullah came in and gave a foundation to the team.
He scored 39 runs off 27 deliveries to give a target of 157 runs. Dominators bowler Amir Hamza claimed 2 wickets, whereas Shoriful Islam went quite expensive with giving away 43 runs and claiming only 1 wicket.
DD vs FB: Mohammad Mithun and Soumya Sarkar’s jaw-dropping partnership
DD vs FB: Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Mithun started out superbly for the Dominators as they held a partnership of 74 runs off 46 deliveries. Soumya produced a supporting inning scoring 37 off 22 balls. Whereas Mithun’s fantastic 54 runs off 36 deliveries earned him the Player of the Match Award. However, Karim Janat broke the partnership by dismissing Soumya Sarkar.
DD vs FB: Shakib Al Hassan’s spectacular bowling effort couldn’t bring victory to his side
DD vs FB: The Dominators’ middle order was certainly average with their performance. However, both Shakib Al Hassan and Sunzamul Islam each grabbed 2 wickets. Shakib’s performance with the ball was far better than what he had produced through his bat.
Nevertheless, he was the only economical bowler for Barishal with an economy rate of just 4.50. Shakib was spectacular as usual he is with bowl in the hand. Shakib’s dismissal of Ariful Haque was spectacular as he tricked the batsman with the spin between the bat and pad and the ball straight hitting the stumps.
