Bypoll Elections Result declared by Election Commission of India on 6 November 2022. The polling took place in Mokama and Gopalganj constituencies of Bihar, Adampur of Haryana, Andheri (East) of Maharashtra, Munugode of Telangana, Dhamnagar of Odisha, and Gola Gokarannath of Uttar Pradesh. The counting of votes was held on November 6. The polling took place on November 3 in Mokama and Gopalganj assembly constituencies of Andheri (East) of Maharashtra, Bihar, Adampur of Haryana, Munugode of Telangana, Dhamnagar of Odisha, Gola Gokarannath of Uttar Pradesh. The parties who were contesting by-polls were the Bhartiya Janata party and regional parties like Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), , the Samajwadi Party (SP),the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Bypoll Elections Result: In the Bypoll of UP, Aman Giri, the BJP candidate, has a majority with 1,22,460 votes. In the Dhamnagar assembly seat, Suryabanshi Suraj had the majority of 31,108 votes. In Haryana’s Adampur Assembly seats, Bhavya Bishnoi had the majority with 51,964 votes, whereas in Bihar’s Gopalganj Kusum Devi’s party had the majority with 70,053 votes. The Yy-Poll result of seven assembly seats across six states, including Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar. The ferocious battle was between BJP and regional parties. 

Voting for all seven constituencies was held on November 3. Data according to Election Commission records, the voter turnout of 75.25 percent was recorded in Adampur, 31.75 percent (Andheri East), 55.68 percent (Gola Gokarannath), 66.33 percent (Dhamnagar), 52.47 percent (Mokama), 48.35 percent (Gopal ganj) and 77.55 percent in (Munugode).

BJP maintained Odisha’s Dhamnagar seat by beating Naveen Patnaik-led BJD (Bhartiya Janata Dal) BJP was able to maintain the seat of Dhamnagar in Odisha’s Bhadrak District winning candidate Suryabanshi Suraj. BJP’s Bhavya Bishnoi, the grandson of Haryana’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, maintained Adampur by beating congress’s three-time MP and former Union Minister Jaiprakash in the assembly By-poll. Aman Giri of BJP won Gola Gokarannath by election in Uttar Pradesh.

In Gola Gokarannath (UP), Gopalganj (Bihar), and Dhamnagar (Odisha), the BJP is maintaining its seats. While also snatching Adampur (Haryana) from congress. The RJD has also maintained the Mokama constituency in Bihar, where Anant Singh, former MLA, had to leave because of the corruption case against him. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has set to beat the BJP in the Munugode seat.

Where a By-poll was required after the sitting Congress MLA Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy took resigned to join BJP. He contested the election as the saffron party’s candidate and fought very tough but was sweeping behind the TRS by more than 3 percent at the time, going to press. The seats the TRS and BJP have won in Telangana and Haryana are at the cost of Congress. At the same time, defeat in Telangana will hurt the saffron party, which has set to tap its footprints in the Southern State.

The Election Commission of India declared the schedule for the by-poll of Mainpuri Lok Sabha and Rampur Assembly place in Uttar Pradesh. The polling of both seats will be held on December 5. The Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat fell empty because of the demise of the leader of the Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav on October 10. At the same time, Rampur’s seat fell empty on October 28 after an MP-MLA court sentenced Samajwadi Party MLA Azam Khan in a 2019 speech case regarding hate. Khan was banned from Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly after the court sentenced him to jail for 3 years. 

In a Press statement, Ajay Kumar, the Election Commission of India secretary, stated the notification for the by-poll on Mainpur Lok Sabha and Rampur Assembly seats would be provided on November 10. The last date of nomination will be 17th November. The scrutiny of the nomination paper will be on November 18. The last withdrawal date of nomination papers will be November 21. The voting on both seats will occur on December 5, and the counting of votes will take place on December 8, he stated.
