Australian Open: The Australian Open 2023 is a Grand Slam Tennis tournament that will be held at Melbourne Park from 16-1-2023 to 29-1-2023. It will be the 111th version of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the Year, and the 55th in the Open Era. The tournament will comprise events for experienced players in Doubles, Singles, and Mixed Doubles.

Australian Open: Wheelchair and junior players will contest in Doubles and Singles tournaments. Ashleigh Barty and Rafael Nadal are the Ruling Champions in Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles respectively. Barty select not to defend her name after she retired in March 2022 from the sports. Australian Open: The Australian Open was first known as the Australasian Championship. It then emerged as the Australian Championship in 1927. Then it became the Australian Open in 1969. It has been performed 110 times since 1905 in 5 Australian cities like Sydney (17 times), Adelaide (15 times), Melbourne (66 times), Perth (3 times), and Brisbane (7 times). Also includes 2 New Zealander cities like Hastings (1912) and Christchurch (1906). 

Though began in 1905, it does not identify as being a major championship before 1924 by the International Lawn Tennis Federation (ILTF) at a 1923 summit. The committee of the tournament altered the structure of the series involved seeding at that time. No series was organized during the period of 1916-1918 due to World War I.

Australian Open: The series was not held during the period from 1941-1945 at the time of World War II. In 1972, it was planned to present the series in Melbourne every year as it captivates the largest patronage of any Australian town. The tournament was performed at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club from 1972 till it shifted to the new Flinders Park Complex in 1988. 

Before 1905, all New Zealand and Australian states had their own Championships: The first was arranged in 1880 in Melbourne and is known as the Championship of the Victoria colony. The two best players of those years known Norman Brookes of Australia and New Zealander Anthony Wilding nearly did not perform in this tournament.
