According to ABP News, Shakib Al Hasan is only the third player in history to have scored 7,000 runs and taken 300 wickets in ODIs. Before Shakib Al Hasan, Srilankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya and former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi recorded this prestigious score. He became only the third left-arm spinner after Jayasuriya and Daniel Vettori took 300 wickets in one-day internationals (ODIs). He achieves this milestone against Ireland.
36 years old’s contribution is extensive in ODIs either for bowling or batting. Shakib Al Hasan has taken the most wickets for the Bangla Tigers in both Tests and T20Is. He is one of the best players the team has ever had. In T20Is the famous all-rounder has taken the fifth-most wickets. Only two cricket players have ever scored 6000 runs, taken 400 wickets, and played 50 matches. Shakib Al Hasan is one of them along with Dwayne Bravo.
In the 2019 World Cup series he showed his excellence. He scored 124 runs in 99 balls hitting above 50 in every other inning. His lowest score remains 41*. Shakib finished at 606 runs in that tournament. He took 5 wickets against Afghanistan.
Shakib Al Hasan will play for KKR in IPL 2023
All-rounder will be seen in IPl 2023 season with Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR spent 1.5 crores to acquire him in IPl 2023 auction. Shakib Al Hasan has played 71 IPl matches so far and hit 790 runs. He was part of KKR in 2012 and 2014 when they lifted the IPL trophy. After his outstanding performance in Bangladesh vs Irelan ODIs, the KKR franchise will be hoping to see him hit or take wickets.
