In Pakistan vs England 6th T20I match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. England won the match by 8 wickets to level the series 3-3. Phil Salt scored the winning run for England to comfortably chase down the target of 170 runs with more than five overs to spare. After being Invited to Bat first Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam scored 87 runs off 59 balls guided his team to finish the inning on 169/6 in 20 overs. Chasing a target of 170 runs. England opener Phil Salt played a brilliant knock of 88 not out off 41 balls to guide England to beat Pakistan by 8 wickets. Now both the teams face each other in the series decider. The last T20 International match of the series will take place on Sunday at Lahore.

Pakistan vs England 6th T20I match: England won the toss and elected to field first

Earlier, Pakistan vs England 6th T20I. England Skipper Moeen Ali won the toss and elected to bowl first. After being invited to bat first Pakistan lost two early wickets of Mohammad Haris 7(8) dismissed by Richard Gleeson and Shan Masood 0(2) dismissed by David Willey. After losing two early wickets, Babar Azam stood on the other end and played a sensible knock 87(59) and got support from Haider Ali 18(14) and Iftikhar Ahmed 31(21) which helped Pakistan to finish their innings on 169/6.

Sam Curran 4-26-2 and David Willey 4-32-2 were the successful England bowlers.

Chasing down a target of 170 runs England opener Phil salt and Alex hales gave England a solid start, both adding 55 runs in just 3.5 overs for the first wicket. However, Shadab Khan managed to take the wicket of Alex Hales 27(12) and break the partnership but on the other Phil Salt stuck with his attacking approach and added 73 runs for the second with David Malan. Once again Shadab khan breaks the partnership and dismisses David Malan on 26(18) and takes his second wicket of the match. But Phil Salt played an extraordinary inning of unbeaten 88 runs off just 41 balls along with Ben Duckett 26 not out off 16 balls to help England to win the match by 8 wickets.

Phil Salt’s fiery knock of 88 runs in just 41 balls helped England to chase down 170 runs in 14.3 overs. Salt stayed till the end and played his career best inning till now. He completed his fifty in just 19 balls. This was his 2nd T20I  fifty. The England opener smashed 14 fours and 3 sixes in his inning. For his unbeaten 88 runs off 41 balls he got the Player of the match award.

Babar Azam Completed his 3000 T20I runs

Babar Azam unbeaten 89 helped him to reach 3000 T20 runs. He took 81 innings to complete his 3000 T20I runs. He is now the joint fastest man to 3000 T20I runs alongside Virat Kohli. Babar reached the milestone during Pakistan’s sixth Twenty20 International against England at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. He became the fifth player to reach 3000 T20I runs mark, After Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Martin Guptill and Paul Stirling are the others in the club.
