Couacaud vs Djokovic: During their matchup on Thursday at the Australian Open 2023 versus Enzo Couacaud, former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic almost injured himself. But the 9-time winner persisted, defeating the Frenchman 6-1/ 6-7/ 6-2, 6-0 to go to the 3rd round at Melbourne Park.

Djokovic battled throughout the match with his left leg, but it was challenging after he dropped the 2nd set tie-breaker during Couacaud vs Djokovic contest. After 3 hours and 4 minutes, the Serbian refocused and made a tremendous comeback in the 3rd and 4th sets of the contest.

There were moments in the match versus Couacaud when it seemed improbable that Djokovic would prevail. As the 2nd set went on, the Serbian’s left thigh issue got severe. When he was behind 4-5 and was sporting a lot of taping and ached when extending for the ball at 4-4, a medical timeout was given.

Djokovic, though, never felt uneasy. Instead, he maintained his composure and gained strength.  The 191st-ranked player in the World, Couacaud, showed bravery in his maiden encounter vs a Top-10 competitor. The Frenchman was unable to match the former World No. 1’s mobility in the 3rd set.

Coming up for Djokovic was Dimitrov, who thrashed Laslo Djere 6-3/ 6-2/ 6-0. Djokovic pushed everything else away to defeat French entrant Enzo Couacaud. Who was rated 191st, in order to add a 10th silverware to his collection at Melbourne Park. And tie Nadal‘s milestone of 22 Grand Slam victories if he wins other rounds further.

Couacaud vs Djokovic: It was Djokovic’s 23rd straight victory at the Australian Open match. A record that was interrupted a year earlier when he was unable to compete since he lacked the COVID-19 vaccination.

Given that Couacaud arrived with a lifetime record of 2-5 and that Djokovic had completed all of his preparations. This match did not appear to be very intriguing. However, Couacaud conquered it and performed without restraint. Creating some fantastic shot combinations and ultimately having fun while enjoying his victory to 2nd Set.
