BBL Final: Perth Scorchers won their 5th BBL Title as they beat Brisbane Heat by 5 wickets in the BBL Final at Optus Stadium, Hobart. Nick Hobson and Cooper Connolly take the Perth Scorchers home in the exciting and nail-biting final. They both flourished the innings beautifully at the end of the match. Scorchers Captain Ashton Turner is named Player of the Match as he scored crucial 52 runs from 32 balls. Turner got run out as there was a misunderstanding between both batsmen and he was unable to make it inside the crease. Perth Scorchers won their previous titles in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2022. This is the second consecutive time they won the title after 2014, 2015, and now in 2022, 2023.

BBL Final: Brisbane Heat Skipper Jimmy Pierson won the toss and decided to bat first in the BBL Final. Jimmy Pierson was appointed as the Heat skipper in the absence of Usman Khwaja. Usman Khwaja left the Heat camp due to National team service on the India Tour for Border Gavaskar Trophy.

BBL Final: Josh Brown and Sam Heazlett open the innings for the Brisbane Heat in the BBL Final. Josh Brown made a quick fire of 25 runs off 12 balls. Brown got out to Payne in the Second over of the innings. He smashed 4 fours and a six in his innings. Sam Heazlett and Nathan Mcsweeney added 79 runs for the 2nd wicket in 10 overs. They both provided a good steady foundation for the team to explore at the end of the innings.

BBL Final: Perth Scorchers pacer Jason Behrendorff removed Sam Heazlett and Brisbane Heat Skipper in the same over. Their dismissal dented the Heat innings which made their team short of 20 runs less the innings total. Heazlett scored 34 runs from 30 balls with 2 fours and a six meanwhile Mcsweeney made 41 runs off 37 balls with 3 fours and a six.

At the end of the innings, Sam Hain and Max Bryant showed some good hands and flourished the innings in good style. Max Bryant made 31 runs from 14 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes meanwhile Sam Hain scored 21 runs off 16 balls. Their brilliant effort took the Brisbane Heat to the 175/7 in 20 overs.

BBL Final: Jason Behrendorff was the pick of the bowler for Perth Scorchers as he took 2 wickets for 26 runs from his 4-over quota.

BBL Final: Scorchers begin their chase at a slow pace

Stephen Eskinazi and Cameron Bancroft open the inning for Perth Scorchers in the BBL Final and made a slow start. They both added 32 runs for the opening partnership in 4.2 overs. Max Bryant run out Stephen Eskinazi with a brilliant throw at the non-striker’s end. He could only manage 21 runs from 19 balls.

Cameron Bancroft(15) and Aaron Hardie(17) were looking good but they got to Matthew Kuhnemann and Spencer Johnson respectively. Josh Inglish and Perth Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner made a partnership of 80 runs in 8.3 overs for the 4th wicket in the BBL Final.

BBL Final: Ashton Turner was the only batsman who scored a single 50 in the match. He scored 53 runs off 32 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Spencer Johnson run out the Ashton Turner on a direct hit. There was a clear misunderstanding between Nick Hobson and Ashton Turner which cost them to lose the crucial wicket at a crucial time.

BBL Final: Nick Hobson and Cooper Conolly added 41 runs in just 15 balls to help the Perth Scorchers to lift their 5th Overall BBL Title. Nick Hobson made 18 off 7 balls with a four and a six. Meanwhile, Cooper Conolly made 25 runs in just 11 balls with one four and 2 gigantic sixes. They beat Brisbane Heat by 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare. 10 runs were needed in the final over of the BBL Final. Michael Nesser was bowling the final over and he conceded 10 runs in the first 2 balls of the over and helped Scorchers to win the back-to-back title.
