Mohamed Salah as Mohamed Salah Hamed Mahrous Ghaly, born on June 15, 1992, is an Egyptian soccer (Association Football) player whose productive scoring made him a star of both the Egyptian National Team and the English Premier League. As a forward for Liverpool FC, he was balloted the Premier League’s Player of the Season in 2017-18. He was titled the 2017 African Footballer of the Year. As a youth, he adored Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, whose actions he tried to imitate during pick-up games.

Mohamed Salah’s goal-scoring ability and speed soon seized the attention of the Swiss Club FC Basel which signed him a contract in 2012. He began his senior career in 2010 playing for AI Mokawloon, leaving in 2012 to join Basel. There he won Swiss Super League titles. Salah united with Chelsea for an announced fee of £11 million. But succeeded gametime led to successive loans to Roma and Fiorentina, who later signed him for all time €15 million. Salah was the main figure in Roma’s title race in opposition to ultimate League winners, Juventus outstretching double figures and assists and goals. He supported lead FC Basel to the Swiss Super League title and arrival in the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) Europa League semi-finals in 2012-13.

Salah set the record for most Premier League goals secured (32) in a 38-game season and supported Liverpool to the 2018 UEFA Champions League final. Salah progressed to be an essential player in the club’s Premier League, and the Champions League title advanced the following two seasons and achieved the League Cup and FA Cup.

He received several individual accolades along with two PFA Players’ Player of the Year, the Premier League Player of the Season, three Premier League Golden Boots, the Premier League Playmaker of the Season, and completed third for the Best FIFA Men’s Player in 2018 and 2021. He achieved the 2018 FIFA Puskas Award for his victorious strike in the first Merseyside Derby of the 2017-18 season. Salah illustrated Egypt at the youth level before accomplishing his senior debut in 2011. He was titled CAF’s Most Promising African Talent of the Year. Afterward, he completed as runner-up in the 2017 and 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. He was the highest scorer at the time of CAF qualification as Egypt was certified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. AI Mokawloon

At 14, he joined the AI Mokawloon, being noticed by a scout who had come to see another child play but was diverted by Salah. When he was 15, he was identified by first team manager Mohamed Radwan, who immediately proceeded him to the senior squad. He formed his senior team debut in the Egyptian Premier League approaching as a substitute on May 3, 2010, in a 1-1 away draw against EI Mansoura. 

Basel

Swiss Super League club Basel has been observing for some time as succeeding the Egyptian Premier League interruption; the club arranged a friendly match with the Egypt U-23 team. In the match, Salah secured twice and supported the Egyptians to a 4-3 win. Salah made his official Basel debut in the UEFA Champions League initial stage match against the Norwegian club Molde on 8th august, arriving as a substitute in the 74th minute. He made his league entrance on 12th august against Thun by playing the total match. 

Chelsea

Chelsea declared that Basel had accepted a deal to sign Salah for a fee reported in the region of £11 million. Three days later, the transfer was finished making him the first Egyptian to sign for the London-based club. Salah made his entrance for Chelsea in the Premier League on February 8, arriving as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Newcastle United. Seven matches later, on March 22, salah secured his first goal for Chelsea in opposition to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, arriving as a substitute for Oscar in a match that finished with a 6-0 win for the Blues. 

On February 2, 2015, Chelsea accepted that Mohamed Salah would join the Italian club Fiorentina on an 18-month loan till the end of the 2015-16 season. As part of the shifting deal, Juan Cuadrado was progressing in the opposite direction. Salah secured both of Fiorentina’s goals in their 2-1 win away from Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.

Roma

Roma declared the signing of Salah on a permanent deal for €15 million. Salah secured a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Bologna, his first club career hat trick on November 6. He secured Roma’s opening goal in an eventual 4-2 defeat to Lyon in the first leg of the round of sixteen in the UEFA Europe League on March 9. 

Liverpool

Salah accepted to transfer to Liverpool on June 22, 2017. He signed a long-lasting contract with the Reds for a beginning £36.5m fee that could rise to £43m. He was allocated the number 11 shirt earlier worn by Roberto Firmino, who rather switched to number 9. Salah joined the club on July 1 upon the beginning of the summer transfer window, becoming the first Egyptian player of Liverpool. He secured both Champions’ League quarter-final games against Manchester City to support his side’s advance in early April 2018.

Mohamed Salah performed for both the Egypt U-20 team and the Egypt U-23 teams, displaying Egypt in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2012 Summer Olympics. When he scored a penalty against Argentina in the past tournament round sixteen, with Egypt losing the game 1-2, he was selected for the youth squad to perform at the 2012 Summer Olympics, scoring in all three of the team’s group matches. 

Salah made his entrance for the Egypt National Football Team in the 2-1 away defeat by Sierra Leone. Salah was associated with the Pharaoh’s squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon. He scored highly for Egypt, with five goals during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification, which includes both goals in the final 2-1 victory over Congo.

Mohamed Salah is a devoted Muslim whose father’s name is Salah Ghaly and his sibling Nasr Salah. He was born to average middle-class parents on June 15, 1992, in Nagrig, Gharbia, Egypt. He was not good at academics. Football remained important all his teenage and childhood days.

Mohamed Salah and his wife Magi Sadeq got hitched in 2013. They gave birth to a daughter Makka in 2014. They had another daughter named Kayan in 2020. Makka was born in London and christened after the Muslim holy city of Mecca.
