The Adelaide Strikers lost for the 4th time in a row despite a magnificent 87 by Chris Lynn as the Hurricanes blasted at the bottom of the BBL table with a convincing 7-wicket victory. The destructive hitter, who already leads the BBL 12 competition in scoring with 260 runs, put out an outstanding performance.

STR vs HUR: In his first 50 innings after rejoining the Strikers, Lynn destroyed his prior competition’s high score of 41 while averaging 28.83 over his past 6 games.

However, the Hurricanes exploded immediately out of the gate because of Caleb Jewell’s 54-run performance and his opener mate Ben McDermott’s 53. D’Arcy Short and Tim David‘s 52-run collaboration off just 32 deliveries helped the opponents achieve the mark with 7 wickets and 2.4 overs remaining.

The Hurricanes took a risk by promoting Caleb Jewell to the starting spot ahead of D’Arcy Short. With Ben McDermott scoring 14* off of 12 & Jewell hitting 29* of 12. They had a fantastic beginning to the pursuit, scoring 45 runs via the power play.

However, Strikers skipper Peter Siddle hit Jewell for 54 off 28 with a flawless yorker.

STR vs HUR: At the midway mark, the Hurricanes had amassed 1-104 points from 8.1 overs. Hurricanes seized the opportunity right away. With McDermott hitting a six to bring up his personal score of 50 from 29 balls.

D’Arcy Short dropped the first try into the deep. But it deflected off his leg, and on the 2nd effort. He displayed amazing reactions to retrieve it with single handed. De Grandhomme was struck for 30 off of 18.

Nathan Ellis grabbed 2 for 39
