In France vs Australia, despite taking any lead, the Socceroos were defeated 4-1 by France in both teams’ opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Australia took the early show after Craig Goodwin secured in the ninth minute. Soon Adrien Rabiot even up for France in the 27th minute. And Oliver Giroud gave them the lead in the 32nd minute. Kylian Mbappe made it 3-1 for France in the 68th minute, with Giroud finishing his support in the 71st minute. Giroud was also embellished as France’s joint highest goal scorer, equalizing Theirry Henry with 51 goals.

The Socceroo’s stun lead came after Harry Souttar pulled out Mathew Leckie on the right wing with a 40-yard pass. Leckie defeated Lucas Hernandez and glided the ball across the penalty section to Goodwin. The Adelaide United captain remained quiet, banging the ball into the roof of the net to flicker jubilant celebration amongst the wandering Australian fans. And no doubt woke up bleared eye household back home. The goal also makes Goodwin the first Australian to secure at a World Cup although on the books of an A League club.

Australia’s extremity was up. Confidence was high among others, not least Mitchell Duke, who sailed the top of the crossbar with a savage 25-yard shot. However, a response was unavoidable from France, and it came just before the half-hour mark. Theo Hernandez, the substitute, hovered a ball towards the edge of the six-yard box, and a flawless Rabiot able to plant a header home from close range. Within four-minute, France took the lead. Rabiot throw away Nathaniel Atkinson with the support of Mbappe. And France’s goalscorer lead the ball into the penalty section, drawing Matthew Ryan out. The ball then slid to Giroud, who was provided the easiest completion to tap into an insecure net.

France vs Australia: After Mbappe lost a good chance at one end. Australia struck the finishing for a second time on the stroke of half time. Riley McGree copes up his bundle way to the byline before dropping the shot a cross towards the back post. Jackson Irvine was arriving late, but the St Pauli midfielder’s header rebounded plaintively off the base of the post. Adrien Rabiot became the Best Player in the Match.

France continued their dominance in the second half in the game of France vs Australia, and shortly after Aziz Behich did mostly well to hack Griezmann’s shot off the line. And Mbappe got his title on the score sheet. France’s supermodel popped up between Kye Rowles, and Souttar bowed home to Ousmane Dembele’s cross and put Les Bleus in full control of the game.

In trademark vogue, he secured his 51st International goal, depicting himself level with Thierry Henry as the most productive goalscorer for his country. In the 90 minutes, France achieved the corner. And nearly snatched a fifth goal; Konate drifted it down into the turf and backed up towards the goal. Ryan observes the situation unfold and falls to his left to deny the center back. Another goal would be bitter for Australia. 

France Reached the Top of the Group D

In France vs Australia, France progressed to the top of Group D, two points above Denmark and Tunisia, who drew 0-0 previously. Deschamp’s men are the first ruling champions to win their opening World Cup match since Brazil in 2006. And they have also just finished the biggest such win. They will take some pausing here in Qatar. Australia rests bottom for now; their goal difference is already poorly lessened. France holds their world cup defense off to a winning start, easily defeating Australia. Les Bleu got grabbed by Goodwin’s early goal, which was the fastest at this World Cup so far, but were not crushed as they then progressed to secure four goals without reply. Giroud will be glad about his double, whereas Mbappe was superb as ever.
